The Burning Bush has long been loved for how the cool nights of autumn change the plain green leaves into brilliant red. Some autumns would not produce the brilliance, depending on where the shrub was planted and the type of fall weather we would have. The species also became a very large shrub that was just too big for many landscapes. This was an opportunity for the plant breeders to search for smaller cultivars that would more dependably develop the autumn red we all love. 'Unforgettable Fire' euonymus is a truly compact form of burning bush with dense, fine branching and smaller leaves and outstanding fall color. Sun, part sun.
