Hemerocallis are often called daylilies because the flower only lasts one day. Not lilies at all, the old cultivars only flowered for a short time, busy to make seed. The breeders have found some wonderful cultivars that bloom for a long time, or re-bloom throughout the summer. Big plants, small plants, many colours, disease resistance and a tolerance for many garden conditions make Hemerocallis a must for the landscape. 'Sunday Gloves' has fragrant near-white blossoms with pale yellow throats up to 13cm in size. Sun, part sun.
