Japanese tree peonies are quite the statement for a landscape. They are known for their large blooms, loaded with petals. Although they only last a few weeks, the show is so tremendous, it is worth making a spot in the garden. Tree peonies are woody plants with stems that stay alive but dormant above the ground over winter. The flowers come in a rainbow of many fantastic colours. 'Naniwanashiki' has large blooms in bright pink, often with a bit of white striping at the edge of the petals. Plants may reach 48"/120cm. Best with relief from the intense afternoon sun.
