Welcome the unmistakable scent of lavender into your landscape, kitchen or winter sachets. There are many cultivars of lavender. They thrive in full sun with well draining soil. The flowers attract many pollinators. Most commonly known are English (Lavendula angustifolia), Spanish (L. stoechas), French (L.dentata) and a hybrid L.x intermedia. Within these are variations in hardiness, plant habit and flower colour.
'Avignon Early Blue' is unique in that it blooms earlier as a young plant that other English lavender. Although hardiness rated to zone 6, it may survive in our zone 5 sites if care is taken for overwintering.
