Polemonium is a lovely addition to the morning sun garden. The compound leaves provide a nice texture change and the profusion of flowers are an added bonus. 'Stairway to Heaven' has variegated leaves and pale mauve flowers to add to the appeal. While full sun may be ideal light, Jacob's Ladder just can't handle Southern Ontario's steamy August afternoons, so some shade helps.
