In Ontario, Tiarella cordifolia is a native plant, the 'foamflower' greeting us in the spring woodlands. The breeders have done their magic and we have a number of dependable garden plants that don't creep as much as the species, and have showier flowers and foliage colours. 'Spring Symphony' is a reblooming, clump forming Tiarella that produces a profusion of spires with densely packed pink blossoms. Veins in the leaves are almost black. Shady gardens.
