Welcome the unmistakable scent of lavender into your landscape, kitchen or winter sachets. There are many cultivars of lavender. They thrive in full sun with well draining soil. The flowers attract many pollinators. Most commonly known are English (Lavendula angustifolia), Spanish (L. stoechas), French (L.dentata) and a hybrid L.x intermedia. Within these are variations in hardiness, plant habit and flower colour.

'Munstead' is a very old cultivar with rosy purple blooms that appear in early summer. When deadheaded, Munstead will often produce a second bloom period later in the season.
