Not an easy name to learn, but Zamioculcus zamiifolia is content being called the ZZ (zeezee, even in Canada) plant. It is known to be tolerant of so many conditions. What we see above the soil are the leaves. The leaves don't change once they emerge, rarely wilting or changing colour. A sign of a happy plant is new leaves sent up, a response to good warm light and even moisture. Tolerant of dry soil and low light, it will be a conversation-maker for years.
